Bedtime Stories with Daddy

Simon was putting Solomon to sleep. He reads a book, drinks his milk, prays and then lays down in his crib with Lil Bear and Moose. Good Night Solomon!!!

Florence

Solomon and I got to go to the beach with Papa and Grammy. We stayed in cabin that overlooked the ocean. Solomon loved writing in the sand and running out to the water. It was cold and misty the first day and the next morning it was sunny and warm. Solomon got to go out on the beach with his Grammy and watch the dogs run in the waves. He also burried his feet in the sand.

A horse says neigh

We went to go listen to our cousin Adam speek at Camp Harlow. Solomon loved the horses there. He also loved playing with Elianna (Adam and Danielle's daughter). This was the first time Solomon got to see a horse with his dad.

Relaxing at the Pool

We went down to my friend Stephanie's house to play with her daughter Bella in their swimming pool. Solomon was floating around the pool on his own. He learned how to be a tug boatby blowing bubbles in the water. Bella also tried teaching him how to spit water out of his mouth. We had such a fun time. Solomon loves swimming! Watch out Micheal Phelps.

Solomon is all smiles after dunking his head under the water.

Picnic @ the Park

We went to the park with the Ropers for dinner. Solomon had fun playing with Gabby. She taught him how to smell the flowers and run through the water fountain. They also had fun swinging together.

Feeding the Ducks

Solomon went to feed the ducks for the first time. He couldn't stop laughing with excitement as he chased the ducks around with his bread. He didn't understand that they would come to him if he would just drop the bread.

Las Vegas

Simon and I decided to pack our bags and go to Vegas for the 4th of July. Our anniversary was the weekend before so we were able to leave Solomon with our family and get away just the two of us. It was very relaxing.

Catch of the Summer!

Simon bought a drift boat this spring. He has been hitting the river about every weekend. Last time he went fishing he came back with a hook in his cheek. This was after he hooked a fifteen inch trout. Fishing is a huge passion of his. I am glad he is able to go.

At the Park

Solomon was looking forward to swinging at the park after our long walk. He also enjoyed twirling around on the spinner.

Splish Splash!

We finally set up Solomon's pool in the backyard. It's been getting hotter which makes the pool a refreshing place to play during the day. Solomon has his slide going into the pool and loves sending his boats down the slide. They say "Splish Slash."

Fire Station

We went to the grand opening of the new fire station in Thurston. Solomon was able to go on the fire truck, try on the firefighter hat, meet the fire dog and get a firefighter badge (a sticker). We went with Gabby and Gage but met many more of our friends there, including his cousin Garren. We had a blast and Solomon loved looking at the big fire trucks.

Solomon Turned ONE!!!

Solomon recently turned ONE year old. How time has flown by. Simon and I have enjoyed every stage he has gone through. God has blessed our family with a wonderful son. The party was at Roaring Rapids Pizza Parlor. Solomon went on his first carousel ride. He didn't like his chocolate cake or dipping his hand into the cake.

Family Camp

Our family goes to Family Camp every year for Memorial Day weekend. This was Solomon's second year at family camp. He had lots of fun splashing around in the pool. Cowboy Night is always a favorite at camp. Solomon loved playing peekaboo with his dad's cowboy hat. On the last day of camp Solomon took his first steps. He was so proud of himself. His parents were beaming with pride as well.
