Ezra's Big Bonk!

Ezra's high chair fell off the chair and landed head down with her strapped in it. It was such a loud thump. I forgot to strap the high chair back onto the chair after cleaning it. I felt horrible! Luckly the bump wasn't as big as it sounded. SORRY, Ezra!!!

Spring Break 2011

I realized that if I write this post it will prove how far behind I actually am on my posts. You can always tell when I'm working and when I have time off just by how often I post things on the blog. Spring Break has been fun for our family.

Monday: Played in the gym (basketball) at Moffitt with the Heacock's, lunch at Wendy's
Tusday: Wildlife Safari, Uncle Bryan's birthday @ Red Robin
Wednesday: Simon went fishing, I started sewing, Three baby photo sessions @ Tom's
Thursday: My mom and I went shopping in Portland, Date night @ The Steelhead with
Brett and Laura
Friday: We went to the Science Factory with the Roper's, Small Group at our house

At the end of Spring Break Solomon said his favorite thing was going to Mimi's house. Apparently nothing can top Mimi's.

My Baby Sister Ezra

Solomon has been super affectionate towards Ezra lately. It's been fun to watch as a mom. He told his grandma tonight, "Grandma, this is my baby sister Ezra!" Once we got home from grandmas I was getting ready to put Ezra to sleep. Solomon said, "Wait, I want to give her a hug and a kiss goodnight." As he was hugging and kissing her he said, "Ezra, you're my best girl in the whole wide world." It was one of those melt your heart moments. I realized if I didn't write it down somewhere I would probably forget about it. It's also so I have evidence when he's older and needs to be reminded that he loves his little sister.

Cousin Pictures

My cousin Dannika sewed all our kids matching Christmas outfits. The kids looked so cute in them. They were my favorite Christmas outfits ever. I'm going to have to start ordering my Christmas outfits through her every year. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful and talented cousin.

Snow Cabin

Our family goes to Sunriver during Christmas break each year. Solomon now calls it the snow cabin. It's a nice relaxing end to the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. Ezra didn't make it out to play in the snow because she was sick and usually taking a nap. All the more snow for Solomon (to eat).

Merry Christmas

Here is our 2011 Christmas picture! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Rubba Dub Dub

Ezra likes taking baths without Solomon. She doesn't get dunked under water, splashed in the face, bubble lathered all over her head, etc. She can actually enjoy splashing and kicking on her own.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was Solomon's favorite holiday this year. The Dow's came down from Washington and the Whites came over from Bend. Solomon had lots of cousins there to play with. The kids got to act out the First Thanksgiving. It was total chaos but the kids loved it. Solomon said, "I'm thankful for Mimi." Big surprise!

All Aboard

Katie took our family pictures at another Train in Springfield. I was hoping to get something we could use for our family Christmas card.

Ezra's Dedication

The day Ezra was getting dedicated at church I walked into Solomon and Ezra's room to find Solomon putting ribbons and bows all over Ezra. He said, "Mommy, look. I'm decorating Ezra for church." I laughed and had to explain that she was getting dedicated not decorated.

Fall Steel

Simon is addicted to fishing. He gets out on the water as often as he can. Sometimes he gets lucky. This year he caught 32 steelhead. If he's not fishing he's watching spey casting videos on youtube. It's definitely one of his passions and he's become really good at it.

Trick or Treat

Solomon and Ezra went Trick or Treating with Gabby and Gage. Afterward we went to Nana's to play games and pass out candy. Solomon liked passing out candy more than getting candy. He would try beating people as he opened the door to say, "Trick or Treat."

Ezra's Six Month Pictures

I feel so guilty because I think I took pictures of Solomon almost every month as a baby. This is only her second photo session ever. I guess it is true what they say about not documenting as much for the second child as you did for the first. We drove out to Tom's to take Ezra's pictures and she cried the entire time. These are a few pictures in between the tears. I was going to edit the drool from here face but decided that really captured what she was like as a baby.

Funky Monkey & Chunky Monkey

I found Solomon's monkey costume at a garage sale this summer for one dollar. He loved it and asked to wear it for Halloween. I thought, what could be better than a one dollar Halloween costume. I then found a matching monkey costume for Ezra. By the time Halloween rolled around Ezra could barely fit into her costume. Her chubby cheeks wouldn't allow the head piece to velcro. I called her my "Chunky Monkey!" Solomon would wear his costume around the house dancing to music. That's where "Funky Monkey" came into play. I love my two little monkey's. They are definitely my trick or TREAT!

Pumpkin Patch

There were many trips to the pumpkin patch this year. On this particular fall day, we celebrated Wesley's 1st birthday party. Solomon was more interested in the cows, tractors, dogs and sticks than picking a pumpkin. Ezra was having fun watching her family and trying to stand near the pumpkins. Uncle Hawk and Aunt Katie were married at the Northern Lights Farms where we were. It was the perfect place to enjoy pumpkin hunting. They had tractor pulled hay rides, a hay fort, pumpkin catapulting and so much more. We can't wait to return next year.
